  • Collaborate Problem Solving- Wikipedia, everybody contributes information. Information/knowledge is shared for free. Also ask wiki questions

  • Circulations- individuals sharing information online, Charlie Sheen story, Twitter posts making mainstream news Libya crisis- people using mobile phones footage and uploading to UTube.

5) The advantages of artists using participatory cultures can gain an identity and can show people who maybe interested in them.                                                                4

6) The advantages of participatory cultures for fans are websites such as soundcloud can give people the chance for people to remix music and for anyone to listen and to comment on the work.                                                                                                     4


7) Disadvantages for artists are websites such as TuneCore gives someone the chance to sell their own music online via iTunes, MySpace music, and Amazon mp3 etc, they get 100% of the profit and TuneCore takes no percentage.                                                4


8) – can you trust that fan pages are official? Downloading illegal music will affect your favourite bands chances on charts.
